September 23rd to 27th  Monday to Friday.

This is a canoe trip down the River Spey to the sea (hopefully). We will paddle open canoes and each VI paddler will be paired up with a sighted guide. The guides will all have had some training but they are not experts. Capsizes can and probably will happen!  You need to be prepared for the fact that you may capsize and that swimming down rapids can be a rough ride.

To come on this trip you should have some canoeing experience.

We will meet in Aviemore at 1pm on the Monday and we aim to be on the water by 2.30 for an afternoon paddle. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be full days of paddling. Each night we will leave the canoes locked up by the river and go back to the house. Departures will be on Friday morning. We can have you met at Aviemore station by 10am (possibly earlier if required).

We will stay at Craigellachie village in Morayshire in a comfortable self-contained house (link opens in new tab). Accommodation is in twin rooms.

Unfortunately, the course is now full but if you want to be added to the reserve list then please contact us.
